Biography

In private practice since 1975 as a litigation attorney, Pierre-Gilles Laframboise accepted an offer as a senior partner and member of the management of a major Montreal law firm in 1984. In 1994, Me Laframboise subsequently founded the Laframboise-Gutkin firm, which stood out for 25 years.

Involved in sports in his youth, Me Laframboise was vice-president of the Cartierville canoeing club, and led the club to the 1984 Canadian canoe-kayak championships in Halifax, winning the gold medal.

Me Pierre-Gilles Laframboise is one of Montreal's elites in matrimonial litigation and handles large-scale cases involving business and family decisions. He also excels in estate, civil and commercial litigation, as well as civil and professional liability. Me Pierre-Gilles Laframboise has also established jurisprudence in several civil liability cases.

For more than forty years now, Me Pierre-Gilles Laframboise has taken the interests of his clients to heart. He is a renowned and charismatic litigator as well as an outstanding writer. His reputation is well established within the legal community and among members of the judiciary in Quebec.

Me Pierre-Gilles Laframboise was chosen in 1984 as representative of the Bar of Montreal at the Concours International de la Francophonie in Brussels. He won the first prize of the Mayor of the city of Liège for the quality of his writing. He sat for 25 years on the Board of Directors of several Caisses Populaires and he is still active in non-profit organizations in the fields of the sports and the arts.
